In this project, I was commissioned by Goethe-Institut to search for new perspectives in German-speaking dramaturgy for translation and publication in Russian: radical plays about ecological catastrophes, violence, feminism, and non-plays. I developed a concept for the new edition, selected plays, led a curatorial committee (Natalia Kemper-Bakshi and Alexey Platunov), and produced curatorial texts.
The biggest challenge was to find plays that were appropriate for the Russian context and that would appeal to a new, diverse audience of theatre professionals and audiences. I dreamed of finding theatre plays as brilliant as the books translated and published by the independent publishing houses "No Kidding Press" and "Boomkniga".
